"Conviene que yo declare las maravillas que Dios ha hecho conmigo".

coming soon

My name is Karla Ingram, and I currently live in San Diego, CA.

I was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, and

I never thought I would live in the United States, but God had other plans for me  and  I moved here in  2000.

When I was 15 years old,  my aunt (while I was visiting in a summer break) ) invited me to a christian church named Centro Cristiano Pentecostés here in San Diego,   There, I made my decision to give my life to Jesus.  Little did I know, that decision was going to change my life forever, and turn my world upside down.

Following Jesus has not always been easy, but it has been the most rewarding and life giving decision I have ever made.  Yes, In my journey of faith, I have experienced many challenges, disappointments, losses, and pain, but through it all, God has been faithful and his love and goodness have surpassed all!

Today I walk in the freedom that only Jesus can offer. I know I am a child of God.  I am deeply loved and accepted. His love has found me.  I have a home, and I have a purpose. His plans for me are to give me life, hope and a future.  ( Jeremiah 29:119)

In 2017,  after my mom's passed away at 62 years to cancer,  I decided to live intentionally and fully  in the purpose and calling of God for my life.  I didn't have all the details, but I knew my time had come.  So, I started sharing my story for the glory of God.

It is my passion to share the message of Jesus.

I want people to know about his unconditional, and everlasting love.  We have a good loving father who doesn't give up on people even when they fail, mess up , or make mistakes.  I know it, because I am a testimony of that extravagant kind of love.

The Sand Dollar Story

I remember when I was a child,  my parents used to take me and my brothers on vacation to a place in the Baja called San Felipe.  It was such an adventure to get up early in the morning to try to find sand dollars when the water tide was low. It was like finding a hidden treasure. Many things had happened since my last visit there when I was 12 years old.  Earlier this year, my youngest brother invited me to visit that place again.  Once I got there, I started having all these memories, and the first thing I wanted to do was to find a sand dollar. Since I was not being successful in my search, I had the audacity to ask God to help me find one. I said, “God, if you have truly called me and want me to start preaching your word, please help me find a sand dollar. That will be the last sign I ask for, I promise’.  In our last day, right before we were getting ready to head back home, My aunt Alma (the first christian in our family) said, “ Is this what you are looking for?” while she was pointing at a beautiful sand dollar she was holding in her hand.  My heart shook.  That sand dollar did not only represent a memory from my past, but my future in God’s hands. Finding that sand dollar was a reminder of God’s promises and faithfulness in my life. Once again, I was reminded of my purpose and my calling.  The Flourish was born after that.

I love Jesus, and my desire is to share his message of love, forgiveness, hope, salvation and freedom through short devotional messages and my personal blog.

My style is very simple, and try to be very authentic and practical in everything I do.
